Benjamin Swift (Hannah Wing, Samuel Wing, Daniel Wing, Rev. John, Matthew) born about 1715 in Sandwich, Barnstable, Massachusetts...died April 17, 1802 at Falmouth at the age of 84. Benjamin Swift married Waitstill Bowerman at Falmouth, Barnstable Co., Massachusetts on September 4, 1741. Waitstill was born in Falmouth about 1720. She was the daughter of Benjamin Bowerman (Boreman) and Hannah Wing. Waitstill Bowerman Swift died October 8, 1794 at the approximate age of 74. Once again we have a member of this particular Swift family that married a 2nd cousin. Waitstill 's descendancy is: Hannah Wing & Benjamin Bowerman, John Wing & Martha Spooner, Daniel Wing and Hannah Swift. Benjamin Swift and Waitstill Bowerman Swift had the following children: 1. Sylvanus Swift, born August 28, 1743 at Sandwich, Barnstable Co., Massachusetts. Sylvanus would marry twice. He first married Elizabeth Mosher Tripp on November 19, 1764. Elizabeth was born March 18, 1745 to Abiel Tripp and Elizabeth Unknown. Elizabeht Mosher Tripp Swift died May 22, 1798. Sylvanus next married Experience Landers in 1799. 2. Paul Swift, born November 19, 1744, died February 12, 1831 at the age of 86. He married Chloe Wing in Dartmouth, Bristol co., Massachusetts on January 15, 1778. Chloe was born in Rochester, Plymouth Co., Massachusetts on March 11, 1750/51, the daughter of Daniel Wing and Meribah (Mary Gifford). Chloe Wing Swift died May 2, 1838 at the age of 87. Chloe Wing already was a double Wing descendant. Her paternal line of descendancy was: Daniel Wing and Meribah (Mary) Gifford, Samuel Wing and Dorothy Clifton, Daniel Wing Jr. and Deborah Dillingham, Daniel Wing and Hannah Swift. Her maternal line of descent was: Mary Swift and William Gifford, Benjamin Swift and Hannah Wing, Samuel Batchelder Wing and Mary Dillingham, Daniel Wing and Hannah Swift. 3. Silas Swift, born July 18, 1746 at Falmouth, died Febraury 5, 1837 at the age of 90. Silas married Elizabeth Bumpas on November 11, 1772. Elizabeth was born March 24, 1758, she was the daughter of Benjamin Bumpas and Ruth Chubbuck. Elizabeth died October 22, 1828 at the age of 70. 4. Rest Swift, born October 15, 1748 at Falmouth, Barnstable Co., Massachusetts. Rest married Joseph Bowerman in Barnstable on September 17, 1766. Joseph was born at Falmouth about 1729, the son of Thomas Bowerman (III) and Jane (Jean) Clifton. Joseph died March 15, 1806 at the age of 76. 5. Mary Swift, born June 7, 1750 at Falmouth, Barnstable Co., Massachusetts. Mary married Benjamin Coleman. 6. Hannah Swift, born June 1, 1752 7. Rosanna Swift, born August 24, 1754 at Falmouth, Barnstable Co., Massachusetts. Rosanna died November 16, 1825 at the age of 71 years. Rosanna married William Allen May 25, 1775. William Allen was born October 30, 1754 to George Allen and Rebecca Spooner. 8. Sarah Swift, born June 1, 1756 at Sandwich, died April 6, 1766 at the age of 10 years old. 9. Lydia Swift, born May 10, 1759 at Sandwich, died June 12, 1836 at the age of 77. Lydia married Isaac Weeks on Nove. 11, 1791 10. Benjamin (Captain) Swift was born October 1, 1762 in Sandwich.
