DESIRE WING
DAUGHTER OF JOHN WING AND MARTHA SPOONER

Desire Wing, born February 3, 1699/1700 at Rochester, Barnstable Co., Massachusetts. Desire died after 1760 at Poughkeepsie, Dutchess Co., New York. Desire Wing married Phinease Chase on July 1, 1719 at Rochester. Phineas was born February 3, 1693 at Dartmouth, Bristol Co., Massachusetts, the son of Abraham Chase and Elizabeth Unknown. It is not known with certainty when Phinease died. It is thought that he might have died before April of 1755. His name was not listed in "The Enrollment of the People Called Quakers in Dutchess Co."pursuant to the Act of the General Assembly by the province entitled "Act for Regulating the Militia of the Colony of New York. His family's records are listed in the Quaker Records of 'Oblong'. The Oblong was a strip of land 1 & 4/5 mile wide and 60 miles long at the boundary of New York and Connecticut. Desire Wing and Phineas Chase had the following children: 1. Daniel Chase, born January 9, 1729/20 2. Seth Chase, born 1722 3. Nathan Chase, born 1723 4. Phineas Chase, born 1725 5.
