EXPERIENCE WING
DAUGHTER OF JASHUB WING AND ANNA HOXIE

Experience Wing (Jashub Wing, Daniel Wing, Rev. John, Matthew), born March 8, 1707/08 at Sandwich, Barnstable Co., Massachusetts. Died in 1784 at Sandwich at approximately 76 years of age. Experience Wing married Gideon Holway on May 26, 1732 at Sandwich. They were married by Col. Melatiah Bourn, Justice of the Peace. Gideon was born October 5, 1704, the son of Joseph Holway and Ann Jennings. Gideon died on August 21 (a Saturday), 1790 at Sandwich. "Saturday, 21 August, 1790 old mr Gideon Holway Died to Day." Gideon Holway died at the age of 86. Either Experience Wing was married prior to her marriage to Gideon Holway or she bore a child out of wedlock. Her first child, a boy, went by the name of Stephen Wing, which of course was also Experience's surname. We also know that the Wing's intermarried, so just because her child's last name was the same as her maiden name does not mean that he was necessarily born out of wedlock. Experience Wing had the following child: 1. Stephen Wing, born about 1730. Experience Wing and Gideon Holway had the following children: 1. Anne Holway, born February 11, 1732/33 2. Abigail Holway, born September 12, 1734 3. Joseph Holway, born May 12, 1736 4. Barnabas Holway, born August 30, 1738 5. Lodowick Holway, born August 30, 1740 at Sandwich, Barnstable Co., Massachusetts. 6. Mary Holway, born August 30, 1742 at Sandwich. 7. Reliance Holway, born May 16, 1747 at Sandwich.
