Joseph Wing (Nathaniel Wing, Stephen Wing, Rev. John, Matthew), born March 30, 1704 at Pocasset in the Natty Wing House...date of death unknown. Joseph was married twice. His first marriage was to Sarah Brownell in Dartmouth, Bristol Co., Massachusetts on January 17, 1732. Sarah was born in Little Compton, Bristol, Massachusetts on June 16, 1709. She was the daughter of William Brownell and Lydia Soule. Sarah died April 20, 1756 in Little Compton, Newport, Rhode Island at the age of 46. Joseph Wing and Sarah Brownell had one known child: 1. Sarah Wing, born February 29, 1732...nothing more is known about Sarah. Joseph Wing's 2nd marriage was to Mary Blackmer (Blackmore) in Dartmouth, Bristol Co., Massachusetts. They were married May 21, 1737. Mary was the daughter of Lt. Peter Blackmer (Blackmore) and possibly Sarah Edwards. It is known that Joseph resided in Little Compton, Newport, Rhode Island, but beyond the fact that he was mentioned in both his father and mother's wills (made in 1721 & 1732 respectively) we do not have any other knowledge about him.
