DAUGHTER OF NATHANIEL WING AND SARAH HATCH

Sarah Wing (Nathaniel Wing, Stephen Wing, Rev. John, Matthew), born about 1695 at Sandwich...died 1734 at Falmouth, Barnstable Co., Massachusetts at the age of 39. She married Meletiah Nye in Sandwich, Barnstable, Massachusetts, December 11, 1712. The marriage between Meletiah Nye of Falmouth and Sarah Wing of Sandwich was solemnized before William Bassett Justice of Peace at Sandwich the eleventh day of December Anno Domini 1712. Meletiah was born in Saconecet (Now Falmouth), Plymouth Colony 1682. Meletiah was the son of Ebenezer Nye and Sarah Gibbs. Meletiah died February 6, 1748/9 in Falmouth, Barnstable Co., Massachusetts, at 66 years of age. After Sarah Wing Nye's death, Meletiah married for the second time to Jemima Unknown. Apparently Meletiah and Jemima did not have any children because she left nearly everything she had to Meletiah and Sarah Wing Nye's children. Sarah Wing and Meletiah Nye had the following children: 1. Sylvanus Nye, born February 3, 1713/14 in Falmouth, Barnstable, Massachusetts. 2. Mary Nye, born December 23, 1716 in Falmouth, Barnstable, Massachusetts. 3. Meletiah Nye Jr., born April 5, 1719 4. Solomon Nye, born September 25, 1721 5. Shubal Nye, born August 1, 1724 in Falmouth, Barnstable, Massachusetts. (other records indicate that he was born August 11, 1724) 6. Sarah Nye, born about 1727 in Falmouth, Barnstable Co., Massachusetts.
