SETH SPOONER
SON OF EXPERIENCE WING AND SAMUEL SPOONER




Seth Spooner (Experience Wing, Daniel Wing, Rev. John, Matthew), born January 31, 1694/95 at Dartmouth, died March 28, 1787 at Acushnet, Bristol Co., Massachusetts at the age of 92. Seth was married twice. His first marriage was to Rose Clark on July 16, 1719 at Sandwich, Barnstable, Massachusetts. Rose was born about 1700 at Sandwich, the daughter of Elizabeth Foster. Rose died in 1751 at the age of 51. Seth's second marriage was to Abigail Hathaway on October 7, 1751 at Achusnet, Bristol Co., Massachusetts. Abigail was born December 14, 1704, the duaghter of Jonathan Hathaway and Susanna Pope. Abigail died on October 19, 1782 at Dartmouth, Bristol Co., Massachusetts at the age of 77.

Seth Spooner and Rose Clark had the following children:

1. Walter Spooner, who would eventually become known as Honorable Walter Spooner, Esq., born 1720 and died October 26, 1803 at New Bedford, Massachusetts at the age of 83. Walter Spooner would marry three times. His first marriage was to Alathea Sprague in December of 1748. Alathea was born about 1726, the daughter of Noah Sprague and Sarah Hammond. Walter's second marriage was to Mary Hammond Peck in June of 1791. Mary was born in 1740, the daughter of Polippus Hammond and Sarah Unknown. Mary died January 30, 1796 at the age of 55. Walter's third marriage was to Margaret Taber Davis in Westport, Bristol Co., Massachusetts.
