ZACCHEUS WING
SON OF DANIEL WING AND DEBORAH DILLINGHAM




Zaccheus Wing, (Daniel Wing Jr., Daniel, Rev. John, Matthew), born June 3, 1703 at Sandwich, Barnstable, Massachusetts. Zaccheus Wing died March 15, 1784. He married Content Swift on March 15, 1731/32 at Sandwich. Zaccheus and Content were married by Melatiah Bourn, Justice of Peace. Content Swift was born on December 12, 1708 at Sandwich, the daughter of Benjamin Swift and Hannah Wing. (Hannah Wing was the daughter of Samuel Wing and Mary Dillingham). Content Swift Wing died December 24, 1789. Besides their marital relationship, Zaccheus and Content's blood relationship included Wing, Dillingham and Swift. Both Zaccheus and Content were grandchildren of Daniel Wing and Hannah Swift. Two of Daniel Wing's sons' married Dillingham's; Samuel Batchelder Wing and Daniel Wing Jr., which further complicates the relationship between Zaccheus and Content. Officially Zaccheus and Content are considered first cousins once removed.

Zaccheus Wing worked as a cooper which is someone who made barrells.

Zaccheus Wing and Content Swift had the following children:

1. Hannah Wing, born January 20, 1732/33 at Sandwich, Barnstable Co., Massachusetts. Hannah married David Bowerman on February 18, 1770. David Bowerman was born October 4, 1721, the son of Thomas Bowerman and Jane Clifton. David died April 24, 1795 at the age of 73. Hannah Wing and David Bowerman did not have any children.

3. Paul Wing, born May 28, 1737

4. Benjamin Wing, born November 25, 1740

5. Deborah Wing, born April 1, 1748
