Massachusetts The Bay State...also known as the Birthplace of the Revolution

Rhode Island The Ocean State Rhode Island was the first state to declare it's independence from the British Crown in 1776. They celebrate their own Independence Day on May 4th.
Our First District represents Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut & Rhode Island The First District Representative is Marcia A. Wing, the daughter of Frank Edward Wing Jr. & Priscilla Virginia Martenson. Although Marcia uses her maiden name, she is married and is the proud mother of three children, one who is deceased. Marcia is descended from Stephen Wing & Oseah Dillingham through their son, Nathaniel & his wife, Sarah Hatch. Her aunt, Deborah O. Wing was the long time Representative of the First District but Marcia graciously assumed the mantle after Deborah retired in 2007. That is Deborah last summer with our WFA President, Jeff Miller. Deborah is 92 years young. The WFA First District proudly boasts 177 members with Massachusetts being the largest with 69 members. This is hardly surprising since Massachusetts is literally the home state for any Wing that descends from Rev. John Wing & Deborah Bachiler Wing Maine has 42 members of the WFA New Hampshire has 15 members of the WFA Vermont has 11 members of the WFA Massachusetts has 69 members of the WFA Connecticut has 25 members of the WFA Rhode Island has 13 members of the WFA That is as of April 25, 2008. We hope that we see many more Wings from these proud states join the WFA to support our family organization that proudly maintains the Wing Fort House in Sandwich, Massachusetts. We are celebrating our 106th Reunion this June at Cape Cod.
