North Carolina
The Tarheel State
During the Revolutionary War,
British General Cornwallis called
Charlotte, North Carolina, a
"hornet's nest" of resistance.
Proud of being so hard to defeat,
the residents adopted a hornet's
nest as the official symbol of their
city.
South Carolina
The Palmetto State
The historic sites of South
Carolina--first state to secede from
the Union and a major player in the
Civil War are just some of its many
tourist attractions.
Georgia
The Peach State
Still famous for its peaches,
pecans, peanuts and Coca-Cola,
Georgia is also home to media
giant CNN, Centennial Olympic
Park and a major airport.
Florida
The Sunshine State
Favored by young fun-seekers and
retirees alike, sunny Florida is one
of the fastest-growing states in the
nation.
St. Augustine is Florida's oldest
city, dating back to August 28, 1565.

Well, Fourth District...we need to see
some numbers being chalked up. If it
wasn't for Florida I would almost cry at
the dismal numbers.

Here is how the numbers fall:
North Carolina has 12 WFA Members
South Carolina has 5 WFA members
Georgia has 18 WFA members
Florida has 51 WFA members

That means a grand total of 86
members for the Fourth District.

I've said it before but I don't mind
saying it again. We need all of you to
support your family organization, the
Wing Family of America, Inc.

We are one of the longest running
family organizations of this type in the
United States of America (if not the
longest). Our OWL which has been
published since 1898 is the oldest
annual of its type in this country. A
family genealogy annual that includes
history as well as up-to-date
information about family members.

The WFA also maintains the Wing Fort
House in Sandwich, MA. The oldest
home in North America continuously
owned by one family.

It is a matter of pride, a matter of
honor, a matter of family and a matter
of the fact that it is a Wing Thing.
